White Gum Wool is our hero yarn. This ethically grown Australian merino is spun into squishy, velvety soft yarn which we proudly offer in three yarn weights: 4ply (fingering), 8ply (DK) and Bouclé (Bulky). We also have a new sock yarn with 70% White Gum Wool Merino / 30% Silk adding extra strength and a gorgeous sheen without compromising on softness.
White Gum Wool is suitable for all manor of garments, particularly baby items and next-to-the-skin accessories. It is also suitable for felting.
White Gum Wool sheep are raised on a single farm by Nan Bray, in the high midlands of Tasmania.

GIDDAY: Australian colloquialism for hello. A warm greeting of affection.
Gidday is a superbly simple cardigan. A striped garter stitch circular yoke is accentuated with cute buttons and a stocking stitch body.
This cardigan is knit top down and seamlessly, with added attention paid to the simple details. The body is knit flat and the sleeves are knit in the round. Simple yarn over increases, which can be worked as a feature or closed, are used to shape the yoke.
