How much yarn will I need?

You'll need approximately 50 to 60 metres, or around 10 to 12 grams of Augustbird 4ply fingering weight yarn. It is a perfect project for using leftover yarn. Please check the yardage if you are using a different yarn.

Can I use another yarn?

Absolutely. Any fingering weight or 4ply sock yarn with a similar gauge will work. Keep in mind that using a different yarn may slightly change the finished size.

With a gentle ribbed top to keep them on bub’s feet, these will be your go-to foot warmers. A quick knit for gifts, they pair perfectly with our Baby Beanie pattern.

Instructions are included for toe up and top down, with an afterthought heel. They are the perfect introduction for the first-time sock knitter: knit one pair up, one pair down, two colours or one!

Written for two colours, these socks may also be knit in one colour and are design for Augustbird hand-dyed fingering/4ply yarn.

Sample is knitted in the colourways Baby Fairy Wren and Natural.
