A playful 10ply bobble beanie knitting pattern

There is a time for simple, neutral clothing; this bobble beanie knitting pattern is for all those other times. Life is a circus. Adorn your head with a delightful bobble beanie to match.

Photos show samples knit in:  Augustbird Kookaburra (100% Australian Merino 10ply, 100g/3.5oz, 190m/270 yds) in "In My Heart of Hearts" and "Organic Studies

CIRCUS is a 10ply bobble beanie knitting pattern worked bottom-up, in the round, in one piece. The entire hat is worked in 1x1 rib, with small bobbles on the folded brim and near the crown which is the signature detail of this bobble beanie. Bobbles are worked on the right side; after working the brim, you will turn your work so that the wrong side becomes the right side, and vice versa.

A message from the Pattern Designer

Play is for everyone. Somewhere between childhood and adulthood, the concept of play shifts, often leaving us with a pale version of what we once allowed ourselves.

Ali from Boris and Stasha truly believes that everyone needs play in their lives, and tries to live by this value by weaving a sense of playfulness into her daily life as well as her knitting patterns.
