What You Need:
Four Seasons Jumper
Yarn: 880 metres (960 yards) of DK weight yarn.
Needles: 5mm (US 8) circular needle, 80cm (32") length.
3.75mm (US 5) circular needle, 80cm (32") length.
Preferred needles in both sizes for small circumference work (such as double-pointed needles or shorter circulars).
Additional Tools: Darning needle, scissors, stitch markers.
Gauge: 18 stitches and 26 rows = 10cm (4") square in stockinette stitch with 5mm needles.
Techniques: Knit, purl, long-tail cast on, German short rows, increases (M1R, M1L), backwards loop cast on, knitting in the round, knitting front and back, and knitted cast-off.
He Oak Jumper
Yarn: 1050 to 1860 metres (1144 to 2027 yards) of DK weight (8 ply) yarn, depending on size.
Needles: 5mm (US 8) circular needle, at least 80cm (32") length.
4.5mm (US 7) circular needle, 80cm (32") length.
4mm (US 6) needles for flat knitting (for ribbing and other sections).
Preferred needles in each size for small circumference work.
Additional Tools: Darning needle, scissors, 10 stitch markers.
Gauge: 18 stitches and 26 rows = 10cm (4") square in stockinette stitch on 5mm needles.
