A birthday (Happy Birthday to you!), a family birthday tradition (sparklers on the cake, even though there are magnesium burns on the table!), a beautiful skein of blue Augustbird yarn, and a cute toddlerism (Essie calls 100’s and 1000’s ‘sparkles’) all combined to gives us our Sparkles snood pattern.
